Wow! Now, this is one Dystopian-Utopian conflict that is worth reading. A world where things are actually as we often wish them to be. No color, no gender discrimination, no worry of food, and all that you have ever wanted. Turns out it's not that perfect after all.
A tale of young boys stuck on an island. Nothing special in that, unless...
The author gives us a view into how normal kids (not Hardy boys or Secret Seven) behave without adult supervision. Or for that matter even how adults might react in a dystopian world without any order. It's scary and it feels true.
Interesting concept about the Gods/Demons/Tales that we carry around the world with us. The twists are mind blowing, the Gods terrifyingly human, and a protagonist to fall for.
