Review: 2001: A Space Odyssey

2001: A Space Odyssey 2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh wow! Read science fiction after a long time. And what an awesome choice (though not mine, received as a gift). Love how it begins with the early man and then takes you on an unforgettable journey through space. I especially liked the conflicts faced by the AI (HAL 9000). Although, I cannot quite believe Dave won over it. I was kind of rooting for HAL.

Review: Anna and the French Kiss

Anna and the French Kiss Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The biggest takeaway from this book- Visit Paris for the food.
It's a fairly interesting read. Not much to stimulate those grey cells but fun.

Review: What Is Not Yours Is Not Yours

What Is Not Yours Is Not Yours What Is Not Yours Is Not Yours by Helen Oyeyemi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What an exciting experience it is to read books like this. And it, too, was a birthday gift!
Whatever kind of a reader you may be, you're sure to fall in love with the incredulity, complex simplicity of the stories. Keys that connect stories and secret gardens are supposed to be the highlight but I found the characters more compelling. Saying anything more would count as spoilers. If you're reading this, go get yourself a copy of this marvellous book.

Review: Men and Dreams: In the Dhauladhar

Men and Dreams: In the Dhauladhar Men and Dreams: In the Dhauladhar by Kochery C. Shibu
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Thanks for asking to review.
The book turned out unexpectedly good. The storyline is almost smooth, the past and present well handled. There were so many characters, each with their own stories, it seemed like the making of a series. The climax is too rushed.
I recommend giving the book a try.
